Near the end of last semester, I was given a bag of leather scraps for free to make some small leather goods. It got me so interested in leather as a soft and durable material so I ordered some big sheets and essential tools and started making some leather goods.
At this stage I’m still trying to understand different types of leather, how to manipulate each kind and how to add hardware to make the best out of it. Here are the first batch of goods that were solely hand stitched (without a stitching pony or stitching chisels yet).
More coming.
There’s a fantastic contrast between the modern sun glasses and the traditional feel of the leather pouches.
