Began with a little homesick (see my last post of the little house), I went on searching for more old Chinese walls and doors that I can relate to my grandmother’s place. Unfortunately I did not take enough photos of them.
Thanks to Prof. Yong Chen’s watercolor website, I found some artists’s work that we were supposed to imitation painting of, were really close to what I remembered my grandmother’s yard looked like. I did three imitation watercolor paintings here. I truly enjoyed the process of painting with memory and emotions.
Original work can be found at http://yongchen.com/class/Galleries/Galleries.html, credited to the artists that painted these inspirations pieces (I do not know the names of each artists on the website).
